Thunja means ‘tree of life’ in Latin, or ‘fragrant wood’ in ancient Greek. This plant has always been a source of inspiration for artists, particularly in Japanese painting and graphics.
Japanese artists and calligraphers mastered the technique of painting with a handful of strokes of Indian ink, which is incredible for its lightness and composition.
Our Thunja botanical design transports you into the forest with its secret green reflections and it’s very easy to imagine taking a walk in nature accompanied by the pleasant scent of the leaves of this ‘vital tree’.
Thunja is the ideal design for a Japanese style, very minimalist in interior design with an accent on the wall.
You’ll find two colour variations for this design, ‘Thunja Green’ in a classic, natural green version and ‘Thunja Blue’ in an imaginary, oxygenated version.
