The ‘Chrysantemum’ pattern has a long history linked to the archives of William Morris, a writer and artist, but above all one of the first wallpaper manufacturers to use the industrial method of production in England.
We were lucky enough to be invited into the British Archives, where you can see the old wooden blocks used to print wallpaper at the time.
Ever since he was a young boy, William Morris has frequently researched medieval libraries and manuscripts. That’s why his remarkable style is so unique.
The origin of this design dates from the late nineteenth century (around 1877-80) which was a great era in art and decoration. « Art & Craft » is still relevant today, with this new trend in interior design.
We chose two different shades for our palette, ‘Perle Green’ and ‘Perle Beige’, both of which are very warm and soft.
